A Partnership for Authors
BetaShelf and Storiad are teaming up to help authors at every stage, from getting your manuscript ready to reaching your next thousand readers. Here is a note from each of our founders.
Hello BetaShelf Authors,
My name is Ramzi, and I'm the founder of Storiad.
Before I tell you about Storiad, I'd like to tell you what makes us different.
Storiad is unlike any software company out there: we make ourselves available to our authors, live, at any time, because we know that there can be no substitute for real, one-on-one collaboration.
When you, as an author, sign up for Storiad, you're not getting tossed into a support queue. You're not getting sent to a chatbot. You're not being asked to watch a dozen videos and "figure it out."
You get access to real people. You get access to me.
Why do we make ourselves so available? Because we love books, we love authors, and we want your book to find its audience.
Writing and publishing a book is hard enough. Marketing that book can feel overwhelming. We know that, like most authors, you aren't looking for another piece of software. You're looking for guidance, encouragement, accountability, and practical tools that help you sell more books.
That's why we built Storiad.
Storiad is a marketing platform built specifically for authors. Our mission is simple: help authors sell more books. Everything we build supports that mission.
Whether you're self-published, traditionally published, or somewhere in between, Storiad helps you organize, plan, and execute your book marketing efforts without needing a marketing degree.
Inside Storiad, you'll find tools to help you:
Most importantly, you'll never have to figure it all out alone.
We've been impressed by what the BetaShelf team is building. They understand something many people in publishing overlook: getting your book into readers' hands requires more than simply publishing it. Success comes from connecting all the pieces.
A great book. A clear marketing strategy. Strong discoverability. Consistent promotion. And systems that help authors grow over time.
That's why the BetaShelf and Storiad partnership makes so much sense. BetaShelf and Storiad approach the publishing world from different directions, but we share the same goal: helping authors succeed.
Many authors spend months or years writing a book. They invest in editing. They invest in cover design. They invest in publishing. Then comes marketing. And that's where things often become frustrating.
Questions start piling up: Where do I begin? Who should I contact? How do I get reviews? How do I find readers? What should I do this week? What actually works?
Most authors don't fail because they lack talent. They struggle because they lack a system. That's exactly what Storiad was created to provide.
Over the years, we've worked with thousands of authors across virtually every genre imaginable. One thing we've learned is that no two author journeys are identical.
But successful authors share two things in common: they have a book marketing plan in place, and they market their book consistently. So the equation is simple: a plan plus sustained effort equals book sales.
The goal of Storiad isn't to turn you into a marketing expert overnight. The goal is to help you take the next step. Then the next one. Then the next one after that. Over time, those small actions compound into visibility, readership, and book sales.
If you're a BetaShelf user, we'd love the opportunity to show you around Storiad. Ask questions. Challenge us. Tell us about your book. Tell us what's working in your book marketing efforts. Tell us what's been frustrating.
We built Storiad because we genuinely enjoy helping authors succeed. And if there's one thing I'd like you to take away from this article, it's this: you are not alone. There are real people behind Storiad who love authors.
We're excited to work with BetaShelf and help more books find more readers.
Thank you.

Hello Storiad Authors,
My name is Victoria, and I'm the founder of BetaShelf.
In March 2025, I published my first children's book. It was one of the most exciting and terrifying things I have ever done. Once I hit publish, I announced it and hoped. No marketing plan. No system. No real idea how to find the readers who would love it. I just put it out there and crossed my fingers.
When I started my first novel, I wanted to do it differently. I wanted to plan, prepare for launch, and get real feedback before publishing. But the beta reading process quickly became overwhelming. I found myself emailing manuscripts, tracking comments in spreadsheets, and wondering where my unpublished pages were ending up.
So I built the tool I wished I had. That tool became BetaShelf.
At its core, BetaShelf exists for one reason: to help more authors get their stories into the world.
One of the best parts of being an author is having someone come up to you at an event and say, "I want to publish a book one day." They ask how you did it. Whether they can do it too. The answer is always yes.
I want more authors to experience the joy of holding their own book in their hands for the very first time. That feeling never gets old.
We're still a small, young company. My job as founder is to listen to authors, understand what they're up against, and help them succeed. Being an early BetaShelf user means having a real voice in the roadmap and early access to everything we build next.
BetaShelf helps authors go from first draft to first sale, all in one place. Inside the platform you can:
Looking back at my first launch, I can see all the things I didn't know to do. I had written a book I was proud of, but I had no plan for what came after. No outreach. No promotion. No way to keep momentum going once launch day faded.
That is the exact gap Storiad fills. It gives authors a real system for the marketing side of publishing, the part that felt like a mystery to me for so long.
Where BetaShelf helps you get your book ready, gather feedback, build early readership, and make your first sales, Storiad helps you reach the next thousand readers. The two platforms fit together because they solve different halves of the same challenge.
BetaShelf helps authors get ready. Storiad helps authors get discovered. Most importantly, both companies are focused on the same thing: helping authors succeed.
If you're a Storiad author, we'd love to have you try BetaShelf and tell us what you think. I read every message authors send us, and many of our best features started because an author took the time to share what they needed.
When I launched my first book, I did it alone and hoped. You don't have to. Whatever stage you're at, there are people at BetaShelf and Storiad who have stood exactly where you're standing, and we'd be glad to help.
Thank you to Ramzi and the entire Storiad team for building something that puts authors first, and thank you for taking the time to read this.

Happy writing,
Victoria Farias, Founder, BetaShelf
